About My Process and Me

I am a competitive adult figure skater who has designed costumes for the past 30 years. Because I skate, I understand the importance of fit. A costume should make you feel special, enhance your program and make you feel secure because it fits properly. My creations are inspired by you, your music and interesting fabrics with unique lines and patterns. These features catch the judges and audience’s eyes and when you show up in a Linda Price Design, you stand out from the crowd!
The process starts when I listen to your music. I begin to envision what the costume might be and when I go through my large and unique fabric collection, designs begin to form. After an initial phone/email conversation regarding design and fabric and you definitely want to move forward, a non-refundable $300 deposit is required. Once we decide on a design and budget, it is locked and no additional work or costs will be incurred. If I feel any changes are necessary, they will be discussed and implemented only if we both agree.
If we are working remotely:
Measurements will be sent to me using the fit sheet I will send you. I’ll need it returned in the Excel format along with a full frontal and side picture of you that shows me your form and silhouette. When we are ready for the first fitting and before I mail the costume to you, another incremental deposit is required. Once you receive the garment, we’ll have a phone or video chat to review the fit and discuss any necessary adjustments. Once everyone is satisfied, you mail it back to me. When the costume is complete, the remaining balance is due and the costume will be shipped. All shipping costs are paid by you.

I create fully realized costumes, ready for performance. Time does not allow for me to create unadorned costumes for clients to then stone themselves.
Pricing:
Dresses: $600+
Men’s shirts $400+
Pants $150+
$300 - $500 deposits are required for dresses
$200+ deposits are required for men/boys
Venmo is accepted

I am respectful of budgets and never upsell or upcharge. An estimate is given before the project is started and regular updates are given.
